Catching Up: 2013 It's a Wrap!

With 2013 coming to an end, I think it's important to do a little reminiscing and to evaluate the direction my life is heading.   I'm proud of the experiences I've had, the amazing people I've met, and the relationships I've strengthened as I've strengthened myself.  Professionally, I improved my versatility by working in film, commercial, and theater.  Below are a handful of photos capturing some of my favorite moments from this past year.  I'm looking forward to an extraordinary 2014 for everyone.

Post-Holiday Fitness

After a couple days of holiday eating and drinking with family and college friends, it's back to the healthy lifestyle for me.  Fitness has always been a big part of my life since I grew up playing competitive tennis.  These days I'm fueling up with +Liquiteria's 'Skin Trip' juice and oatmeal before heading out for my West Side Highway run and subsequent weight training session at +Equinox. #HitItHard

What I Wore: Special Delivery...

Merry Christmas!  I'm loving my new Stubbs and Woottons this morning, which arrived just in time from +MR PORTER (a great one stop shop for the well-dressed man who knows how to live right).  Proof that no matter what you celebrate, sometimes the best presents are the ones you buy for yourself!  Hope everyone has an amazing holiday and if it takes you on the traveling road... be safe!

What I Wore: From Day to Night

I've had a busy few days leading up to the holidays.  From last minute auditions to last minute shopping, to dinners and wine nights, I'll be sleeping well when all is said and done.  Since I've been on the go and my days have been turning into nights, I've been rocking my favorite J. Lindeberg tuxedo blazer with more casual wear underneath.  Hope you guys are ending the year in style!

Catching Up - It's a Wrap!

Hey guys! We have wrapped shooting in Austria for the Snelle Jelle (http://www.snellejelle.nu/) commercial and I am back in NYC. I couldn't have had a better experience.  I met so many incredible people and have so many people to thank:  Sweden's Hobby Films, Slovenia's Trixtr, the Amsterdam-based advertising agency N=5, Donna Deseta Casting in New York, and everyone at our insane shooting location (Mölltaler Gletscher in Flattach, Austria)... thanks for treating me so well.

The commercial will be out in late January in Europe (and youtube, of course!), just in time for the XXII Olympic Winter Games.

Catching Up - Work?

Hey guys! I'm in Austria to shoot a commercial for the popular Dutch company 'Snelle Jelle'. Although I'm here for work, luckily I was able to fly out here a few days early and have been having an incredible time.  I skied  the Austrian Alps yesterday and they are insanely beautiful! A few of the photos I took are shown below.  Stay tuned for more photos from my trip!

Throwback Thursday - Southern California

#TBT. Below are some photos I took during a trip I took to Southern California in September. In addition to checking out The Bungalow (Santa Monica) and cliff jumping at Aztec Falls in Lake Arrowhead, my friends also took me to some memorable places not shown below. I enjoyed a delicious dinner at Oscar's Cerveteca (Venice, CA), unique drinks at Tasting Kitchen (Venice, CA) and even participated at Karaoke night at Cafe Habana (Malibu, CA)!

Catching Up - Ready for Takeoff

I'm packed for Austria and ready to board!  Can't wait to check 'ski the Alps' off my bucket list and then be on set the day after. Below are some essentials I packed for my flight.

I packed The Economist, Vanity Fair, a play Spring Awakening and the book 'Planet Walker' by John Francis to read on the plane or back at my hotel.

I also brought some other essentials including Brad's Raw Chips, Tom Ford sunglasses, my meditation beads from Mystic Journey in Venice Beach, CA and of course my passport (shown below in a Fendi passport holder). Lastly, I brought my Nikon Camera so that I can share some photos from my trip with all of you!

Catching Up - Just Can't Quit It

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Bummed it's almost over but glad that I made it one to remember.  Started my Saturday at Ellary's Greens and from there my friends and I headed over to De Santos for drinks.
We wrapped up the day at Entwine, which is quickly becoming my go to chill spot - just can't quit it.

Dishing Out - Breakfast of Champions

Clean eating and high energy go hand in hand, and I need all the energy I can get since I'll be shooting a commercial in Austria next week (not to mention outdoors in the 15 degree weather)!  I made this "pistachio ice cream" by mixing 2 frozen bananas and homemade pistachio butter (recipe below) together in a food processor.  It's amazing.  Top that with a BluePrint juice and I'm flying high for the day... hopefully all the way to Austria!

Pistachio "Ice Cream"

Mix 2 frozen bananas and 2 tablespoons of pistachio butter in a food processor for a few minutes.  It'll look a little whipped, a little solid... and really delicious.

Pistachio Butter

2 Cups of shelled pistachios

a couple pinches of salt

(optional: honey - mine is without and terrific!)

Mix in a food processor for about 10-20 minutes, or until you reach the desired consistency of a nut butter.  You may have to scrape down the sides of the processor every few minutes.

Catching up - Filming in the Hamptons

Pre-thanksgiving, I was shooting my most recent film, 'Blod'.  Check out some photos (below) of where I got to live and work during the filming.  The house is located in the Hamptons and can also be rented out privately, which means I'll have to go back with my friends so that I can enjoy the pool in the peak of summer (mojitos, anyone?). There are even some behind-the-scenes shots of me in there (spoiler: blood alert!)  Enjoy!
